Vigil Held For Norwalk Teen Killed After Car Crashes Into Tree In Darien

The family and friends of a Norwalk teen killed in a car crash in Darien held a vigil in front of his home to honor and mourn his passing.

Many brought candles and balloons to remember Victor Emmanuel Deleon, 19, of Norwalk, who died around 6:30 a.m., Sunday, Sept. 29, when the Volkswagen Passat he was a passenger in crashed into a tree.

The driver of the Passat, a 19-year-old Norwalk woman, “veered off the road to the right for an unknown reason,” after taking the Exit 10 off-ramp from I-95, Connecticut State Police said.

The driver and three other passengers, all 18 to 20 years old, in the car were rushed to Norwalk and Stamford hospitals with serious injuries.

The crash remains under investigation by state police.

Anyone who witnessed the crash is asked to call 203-696-2500.
